In a pre-Shavuos shmooze, Rav Berel Povarsky spoke of diligence and toil, using the example of Rav Chaim Berman - the masmid of yeshiva - as one who succeeded because of his persistence.
Rav Chaim Berman- who was at the shmuess, there to glean a bit more chizuk, a ‘young’ talmid with grandchildren in yeshiva still looking for inspiration.
