Torah, avodah and chessed, compassion with others- it’s how Jews stay safe

Rabbi Moscowitz, shliach to Evanston, Illinous, affixing a mezuzah at the home of Uri Ranaan, whose wife and daughter were freed erev Shabbos after being held hostage for close to two weeks. The local shluchim have been at Uri's side throughout, and now, the grateful father looks to create merit for others who need it so.

Rav Tzvi Yehuda Lau speaks of the tune that Rav Meir wrote to the zemer of Friday night, "Libi uvesari yeranenu el Kel chai," and shares that the Rav added a stanza of verse as well- We have no more strength, our hands are weak...may the Bas Kol comfort us, "Your father yet lives."
